Sac State is a big university in a big metro area. They just need the opportunity to spread their wings and sting the big boys. More FBS CFB in Texas and CA.

I'll bet we never see it. Say for the first year or two, maybe it isn't feasible to have 13 teams playing games mid-week. Maybe Sac State gets a bye the first year or two. What I fear is Sac State in the MACC game in Detroit. Lol.

Portland State sits in a good market but would be a poor choice. Seems a commuter school with a very small stadium.

My take two fold: 1). UC Davis will be FBS in due time with MWC. I doubt MWC would take Sac State too. Period. Assume Davis would block. 2). MAC has had plenty of experience w. FB only such as UCF, Temple, UMass, and schools like Marshall moving up to FBS. Because of #1, Sac

What I don't know. I do not know CA FCS FB, but would UC Davis block Sac State from joining the MWC? (UC Davis is MWC for Olympic sports and presumably FB if they get a FBS-caliber FB stadium). For Sac State: Pac - no. MWC- no? Then who????

My guess is that if the athletes are that excited the excitement probably extends beyond the locker room.
