Impeachment Thread: Any president or leader who forces political support and fails to honor and protect the free and legitimate elections on which our republic rests has lost the moral right to govern. bit.ly/34DKlLW

By attempting to compel Ukraine to announce investigations benefitting only his re-election efforts, President Trump forced every American taxpayer to become an unwitting contributor to his political campaign and a supporter of his re-election.

As voters, we must demand the highest standards from the leaders who we ourselves helped elect. We must take back the power of our individual voices. bit.ly/39ZCts8 #impeachment #impeachmenttrial #MWEG #fullandfair #fullandfairtrial #beawitness #countryoverparty

This was a piece I have been working on for over six months- a real labor of love. Thanks to Mormon Women for Ethical Government for inspiring it and to USA TODAY for publishing it. I look forward to connecting with others who see themselves as a #principledvoter

We agree with Sen. Romney's statement and are grateful he continues to speak out. There is no ethical or legal justification for the personal pressure the President is increasingly placing on civic servants. It is past time for our leaders to defend our democratic processes.

Tonight I am especially proud to be both a Nebraskan and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Thanks, Senator Ben Sasse and Senator Mitt Romney for saying the things that needed to be said. May many others follow your lead. Sen. Susan Collins Sen. Lisa Murkowski Mike Lee

I am in DC this weekend spending time with Americans from across the political spectrum at the #PrinciplesFirst conference. Great to finally meet Elizabeth Neumann and Bill Kristol in person and to see Mindy Finn and Sarah Longwell again.

❤️ the lively discussion about technology at #PrinciplesFirst. At Mormon Women for Ethical Government we work hard to facilitate robust discussion between thousands of women from across the political spectrum while not allowing misinformation to be take hold. The struggle is real.
