The EV consumer tax credit has been an obsession of Trump and Republicans because their oil donors are desperate to kill the competition and maintain their monopoly. But it has been a big factor in America’s EV manufacturing boom, and killing it will kill jobs, full stop.

GOP raising energy costs = big mistake. “Congress may put this tax credit on the chopping block. That would be a big mistake… Eliminating the 25C tax credit would mean fewer options for homeowners, higher taxes for families, lost business opportunities for contractors like me.”

Now that the text is out, it's clear Senate Republicans are STILL planning to gut clean energy tax credits. The sabotage is the same, just on a **marginally** slower timeline. Don't buy their spin––the credits are still functionally useless.

The House is about to vote on a bill that could lead to hundreds of billions in lost energy infrastructure investments. Here are some of the Republican-led House districts with the most to lose. 1. Rep. Kiggans (VA-02): $12 billion at risk. 🧵

2. Rep. Valadao (CA-22): $6 billion at risk. It's worth noting that Rep. Valadao won his last election by 11,461 votes. He's up for re-election next year.

3. Rep. Ciscomani (AZ-06): $3 billion at risk.

4. Rep. Garbarino (NY-02): $3.5 billion at risk. Rep. Garbarino has been a champion of clean energy in the House at times. But he voted for the last bill. Tell him to vote country over party this go around.

Rep. Moore (WV-02): $1 billion at risk.

6. Rep. Evans (CO-08): $250m at risk. Rep. Evans won his race in 2024 by 2,449 votes—one of the tightest elections in the country.
