This announcement could have huge implications and potentially uncover other miscarriages of justice.

Its timing is no coincidence. A major review of the CCRC's handling of Andy Malkinson's case is imminent and they are unlikely to come out of it well

The latest edition of Proof magazine is out next week and I’ve written a piece reflecting on Andrew Malkinson’s case.

If you want to know more about miscarriages of justice and why they keep happening, the articles in here will be a good place to start.

Three years on and still so many unanswered questions about how this happened.

Hopefully an inquiry in the New Year - alongside CCRC and IOPC investigations - will start to give some.

Chuffed to win this and very grateful to editors at the Guardian and Sunday Times who let me dedicate so much time to investigating Andy's case.

Credit should also go to James Burley APPEAL whose hours rifling through boxes at GMP uncovered many of the policing failures

The body of Peter Mutuku Mutisysa was found in a dam on Del Monte's Kenyan pineapple farm.

An official post-mortem, also attended by a doctor paid for by Del Monte, concluded death by drowning.

This is his family's story Edwin Okoth Grace Murray
