13 January 2013: Una Crown, 86, was found dead at her home in Cambridgeshire. Police initially concluded her death was not suspicious, believing she had accidentally set herself on fire using the hob. She had been stabbed to death. David Newton, 68, is now charged with her murder

6 April 2024: Kulsuma Akter, 27, was stabbed in a street in Bradford city centre as she was shopping with her baby and her friend. Her husband, Habibur Masum, 25, is charged with her murder and possession of a bladed article.

2 April 2024: Sarah Mayhew, 38, was found in a park in Croydon. Steve Samson, 44, and Gemma Saundercock, 48, have been charged with murder. Steve Samson has also been charged with three counts of making indecent images of a child.

Nicolas Metson, 28, must serve at least 19yrs for murdering his wife, Holly Bramley, 26, in March 23. He stabbed Holly at least 4 times before shaving her head & dismembering her body. Metson, who had a known history of violence against women, disposed of her remains in a river

30 March 2024: Ruth Baker, 48, was found at a property on Tempest Road, in Leeds. George Chalmers, 53, of Tempest Road, Leeds, is charged with murder.

22 March 2024: Tiffany Render, 34, has been killed at a property in Whitehaven, Cumbria. Paul Irwin, 50, has been charged with murder and sexual assault.

22 March 2024: Carol Matthews, 73, was found dead in a house in Staffordshire. Peter Matthews, 79, has been charged with murder.

20 March 2024: Ursula Uhlemann, 80, was found dead at a property in Queenspark, London. A provisional cause of death is given as compression to the neck. Her partner, Steven Clark, 50, is charged with murder.

20 March 2024: Pauline Sweeney, 50, was found stabbed to death at a property in in Coventry. William Brady, 57, believed to have been her partner, has been charged with murder.

20 March 2024: Zhe Wang, 31, was stabbed to death in a house in Deptford, south-east London. Fellow studuent, Joshua Michals, 24, has been charged with murder.

Alex Hindley, 35, must serve at least 16 years and 8 months for murdering Alison Dodds, 51, at his home in Blackpool. Alison was strangled, smothered and suffered several broken ribs in the attack. She was found by social workers hidden under a pile of blankets on 21 Sep 23

29 March 2024: Jillian Hughes, 57, from Merseyside died after an incident outside a hotel in the Isle of Man. John Meadows, 53, also from Merseyside, has been charged with manslaughter.

30 March 2024: Francis Dwyer, 48, was found at a property in Tile Cross, West Midlands. Anthony Hoey, 49, has been charged with murder. He is further charged with theft, aggravated vehicle taking and driving a motor vehicle taken without the owner's consent.

CONVICTED: Carrie Slater, 37, was killed after being shot at home, by her partner, near Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire on 21 September 2023. Richard Basson, 44, who had been violent to her during their relationship has been found guilty of murder.

Luke D'Wit must serve 37yrs for the murder of Carol & Stephen Baxter. D'Wit had controlled Carol for 2yrs using false identities, had administered drugs which exacerbated her health conditions & before poisoning the couple, had forged a will giving him control of their company

Rajveer Mahey, 50, has pleaded guilty to murdering his wife, Kamaljeet Mahey, 46, in Bilston. Police suggest the murder was motivated by 'extreme jealousy'. Kameljeet died of stab wounds on 15 December 2023

Robert Morgan, 61, and David Holyoak, 53, have been sentenced to 3yrs & 2yrs 8 months for gross negligence manslaughter of Dorothy Morgan, 71. She weighed 4.5 stone having suffered severe neglect at the hands of her husband & her son. She died on 4 Feb 21

27 September 2022: Carolyn Kemp was 34 when she was attacked by her ex-partner, Trevor Baker, in 2009. She was left with a permanent brain injury and died 13 years later. Baker, convicted of attempted murder 2010, has pleaded guilty to her murder

SENTENCING: On 22 June 2023, Natasha Morais, 40, was found dead at her home in Leicestershire. She had been beaten, burnt and then strangled to death by her boyfriend, Shannon Grant, 27. He has been given a minimum of 34 years.

17 October 2023: Melissa Eastick, 36, died at a home in Stockton Terrace, Northumbria, after suffering serious injuries. Stephen Todd, 41, has now been charged with her murder.
