I was an NHS consultant of 10 yrs in Emergency Medicine & 20 yrs as a doctor. I fully support the #consultantsstrike. I love clinical work but now work abroad for better work-life balance, working conditions & better pay 🇦🇪 Unless these improve, I will not be returning to the NHS

So much smearing & belittling of consultants in the press, but this, from today’s The Times and The Sunday Times letters page, could not have put it more beautifully. Pls RT if you agree. #NHS 💙

With warmest thanks to all consultant colleagues who took Action in the last two days. Here’s a reminder of why we did what we did. With thanks to Sajay and Tim Meek

I’ve never understood why the NHS doesn’t offer exit interviews to those who leave… In what other workplace do you have employees leaving in droves, yet continue to ignore it & refuse to try to understand why, so you can prevent it collapsing?! It’s unbelievable 😡

This government pays Physician’s Assistants over £14,300 more than real Physicians! Assistants paid 48% more than the doctors supervising them! We know what fair and reasonable looks like. We will keep going until government does too. #JoinSTRIKEwin

Plenty of evidence to show post-operative pain management after C Section requires significant improvement.. but it’s now deteriorated to BYOB of pills??

There's no such thing as "non- medical consultants" delivering acute stroke care they're either medically qualified ( a medical degree and CCT in stroke medicine - 10 yrs training post qualification) or a danger to patients. Leave Cosplaying to cartoon characters / superheroes,

I genuinely think that NHS HR departments are one of the top reasons why the NHS struggles with recruitment. I did an emergency locum shift in March in an external trust, and in order to get paid I have to sign up as an employee (which is fine) but now apparently I have to

On the 6th October 2023 I shared a link on X to a Mail Online article entitled ‘Militant union leader at the heart of doctors strikes is a Labour activist who boasted of charging the NHS for a strike cover shift. I accept that my words were misleading as the subject in question
