In a week where we be been told that as an occupational therapist I shouldn’t share an opinion on the validity, reliability or harms of a diagnosis, I really appreciate Royal College of Occupational Therapists sharing this. We’ve heard “get back in your box” too often. Loud and proud ✊

The argument that we need to keep BPD as a diagnosis for access to care falls apart when we remember it has always been used to justify not only a lack of treatment, but outright discharge. Overstretched services don’t make it more necessary—they make this dynamic even worse.
