Yesterday was a perfect day to get out with EM staff for a refreshing walk to D.C.’s Tidal Basin to see the cherry blossoms, just steps away from DOE headquarters!

Spoke today with the steering committee of the HAMMER organization. It was great hearing from the union leaders about the strong bond between labor & EM. I am looking forward to continuing to strengthen these bonds. We all agree worker training is pivotal to the success of EM.

Today I joined the staff from EM's Los Alamos Field Office and its cleanup contractor N3B in marking the second 2019 shipment of TRU waste from Los Alamos National Laboratory’s Area G to WIPP. #ProgressInAction

Enjoyed touring the Aquatic Ecology Lab with Rick Perry and Chuck Fleischmann to learn about how U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management and DOE Office of Science are finding new mercury cleanup solutions.
