This will ease the Mumbai connectivity and will upgrade the current MAO–CSMT VB from 3 days to 6 days a week as well.

Konkan Railway, Tr No. 12134 MaJN-CSMT SF Express departed on time from Mangaluru yesterday but arrived in Mumbai 3 hrs 10 mins late. This is unacceptable for a high-priority train. Additionally, Matsyagandha Express is consistently delayed and most prestigious Tr No. 20645/46

There was a stoppage for 12133/34 CSMT MAJN SF exp at Mulki some years back but was later removed .People are forced to go to other stations to catch a train to Mumbai.
