We are happy to announce that our program of work on the development & deployment of a novel anti-fibrotic in pancreatic cancer has just been published (OpenAccess) in Nature Cancer | → nature.com/articles/s4301… ← | @TCox_Lab Garvan Institute of Medical Research #extracellularmatrix #ECM #cancer
💫NEW Nature Cancer - “A first-in-class pan-lysyl oxidase inhibitor impairs stromal remodeling and enhances gemcitabine response and survival in pancreatic cancer” by Thomas R. Cox @TCox_Lab Garvan Institute of Medical Research & CO. Read it here👇 nature.com/articles/s4301… rdcu.be/dlt7r
Today the Matrix & Metastasis Lab (@TCox_Lab) Garvan Institute of Medical Research turns 7! 😱 Where has the time gone?! Lots of ups (and downs) along the way, but it’s been great fun & we’ve had the chance to work with some amazing people from all over the world 🎉🥳 Here’s to the next 7 years🤞🏼
Just had an amazing time at the @MatrixBioANZ annual symposium 2023 hearing all things ECM and I was very honoured to receive the Dennis Lowther student award! Grateful to have my supervisors Thomas R. Cox Jess Chitty (+ confidence boost from Nicole L Yuwono 😉) @TCox_Lab
Day 3 of the EMBL PhD Course and 25 students courageously delivered their 3MT under the watchful eye of Jenn Payne . Hand gestures and creative analogies were in full force.
I had the privileged to attend the 2023 #EMBLA PhD Course for the past 2 weeks and I have learnt so much during this program. Thank you EMBL Australia Teresa Bonello Ricki and Anna for organising! Looking forward to stay in touch with all these amazing people I met here! 🧫🧬
3 days of amazing talks at Lorne Cancer Conference and thank you Metastasis Research Society for supporting me with travel bursary so I could share my project and get some great feedback!!
Happy to share that our recent work, led by Dr. Elysse Filipe, has just been published in Advanced Science. "Tumor Biomechanics Alters Metastatic Dissemination of Triple Negative Breast Cancer via Rewiring Fatty Acid Metabolism" → onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ad… ← Garvan Institute of Medical Research
Current TME models often fail to replicate complex 3D tumour architecture. Now, Dr Jennifer Ashworth + Thomas R. Cox discuss current design & fabrication challenges, and outline state-of-the-art biomaterial technologies useful for in vitro architecture modelling. bit.ly/4euUorW
