Brouwers was een monument. Toen ik in de Germaanse een motievenstudie maakte van ‘Geheime Kamers’, schreef ik hem lange brieven. Hij schreef terug, altijd slim en scherp. Dat het interessant was allemaal, maar hoe kon ik het motief van ‘een blauwtje lopen’ nu missen? Heerlijk.
