Love grassroots sales tactics, especially so for accounting firms. Biggest criticism they get is “oh but they don’t work at scale” To that I say: 100K in new revenue is still 100K in new revenue. Who cares if the tactics scale.

I think about this a lot in the context of SMB accounting (a largely undifferentiated service). Positioning/audience feels like an afterthought when it should really be a top 3 consideration.

Marketing thought of the day: Love these before and after SEO infographics, they’re easily an 11/10 on the feel good scale. Think an accounting equivalent showing a balance sheet or COA revamp would absolutely crush.

It’s called a trial balance because if you try it and don’t like it you can just take it back to your fractional controller and ask for a new one.
