It’s #InternationalMuseumDay, which means there’s only a couple of weeks left to see Islanders Fitzwilliam Museum . Here’s some of my favourites from the exhibition:

We loved walking with the Y3 class for ‘Walking with Constable’ today. The children made brilliant observations about the landscape and did some wonderful drawing based on close looking. @CamDigLib Cambridge Digital Humanities Fitzwilliam Museum collab

Struggling to take in this news about Harriet. We met during a HoA MA at UCL, and she was the life and soul of our group. She was incredibly kind, a great listener and oh so funny. My thoughts are with her family and the rest of her multitude of friends

Wonderful to launch the new University Library Research Institute Cambridge University Library yesterday. A real collaborative effort to get us to this stage - starting in the way we hope to continue! Wondering what the ULRI is/does? The video below explains.

We loved watching the children as pieces of their story were connected into a collective story by Inbali Iserles 🦊. There were some wonderfully descriptive nature words that linked to what we’d seen on our walk. More detail soon! Thank you @PrimaryDedham3 & @PrimaryDedham. @CamDigLib

Late to the party but astonished at the transformation at Gainsborough's House. Love the division between old & new spaces, which can now hold taller pictures & multiple varied displays incl. an artist in residence. Hugely forward to the printing studio opening. Thanks Mark Bills MBE!

We're thrilled to have acquired a sketch of Colchester's St Botolph's Priory by none other than John Constable! This early-career drawing, which dates from September 1808, was purchased by the Friends of #Colchester #Museums 🥰 #Art #Collections

The Cambridge colleges had some open days last week and we snatched the chance to walk through Clare College. Was unaware of this monster tree - what a giant!

*On the trail of the UK’s rarest native tree*. I’ve recently joined an academic study into the genetics of the black poplar; one of our most imperilled, but enigmatic, trees. This study will help to unlock info that may be crucial to our efforts to save this wonderful species🧵
