Just watched BBC News (UK) and not a single mention of the thousands of doctors, teachers and other key workers on strike today..but then "can't show your regional news due to industrial action"..?! What?!

Yesterday JDC co-chairs received a letter from the health secretary – in which he introduced a pre-condition to give up our negotiating position and call off strike action. Our response below makes it clear that without any credible offer next week’s strikes will continue.

We have revoked the derogation granted to Weston General Hospital. It has become apparent that both the BMA and NHS England were misled over the level of staffing cover. Either local management were unaware they had sufficient senior cover, or they deliberately misled us.

Biggest news story today should be the fact that our former PM, who misled Parliament, lied to the nation, broke the law during Covid - still hasn't handed over his WhatsApp messages to the Covid Inquiry. Families who lost loved ones deserve truth and answers.
