Thank you so much to RAF Honington RAF Coningsby and RAF Scampton for hosting ACM Harv Smyth and me over the last two days. Fantastic to have the chance to spend time with 29 Squadron, RAF Regiment RAF BBMF Red Arrows and many others for one final time.

I hand over command of the Royal Air Force on Friday – here are my thoughts at the conclusion of my time as Chief, and of my 39 years in the RAF.

Our Chelsea Pensioner singers have been busy performing last week at Age UK's Love Christmas carols service at St Marylebone Parish Church and over the weekend at Battersea Park's Pear Tree Cafe and at Duke of York Square, Chelsea. We hope you're enjoying the festive season too!

Thank you SSAFA and RAFA for your lovely messages for National Volunteers Week, such a boost to know we are so valued! It’ll be great to get back to all volunteering at some point soon hopefully, Monday’s are very quiet at the moment without this fun group!

Lovely day in London yesterday, perfect for the SSAFA 13 Bridges Walk. Living in the city meant we could cross the Thames and not complete a virtual walk. Such a pity it wasn’t the Armed Forces Day 🇬🇧 event SAAFA hoped for, maybe next year? We’ll join in again!

Looking forward to watching this Service which goes live on SSAFA’s YouTube channel at 7pm this evening, it’s available for the next two weeks too. I’m so pleased we’ve been able to achieve this for SSAFA in such a difficult year. 🎄
