Key gov amends to the #health&carebill from yesterday we expect to become law x3:

1/3 Rules stopping those from “the private healthcare sector” sitting on ICB boards where this would “undermine the indep of the NHS”. Private healthcare sector not defined

2/3 Clarification you can have more than one NHS provider, LA and primary care rep on an ICB Board

3/3 ICBs will be subject to the Network Information Systems Regs 2018 buff.ly/3DLknc0

There is now a long list of amendments to the #healthandcarebill to be considered by the HoL bills.parliament.uk/bills/3022/pub… HoL deliberations scheduled to continue until 26 Jan

Key themes of HoL amends for ICSs = parity of esteem, adopting NICE recommendations, workforce, research/data, ICP membership, ICB membership

#healthandcarebill to be debated by the HoL on Thu. There are now 318 proposed amendments. The only material changes proposed by the government are about the new ban on the advertising of unhealthy foods on TV.

The HoL met on Thu to debate the #healthandcarebill. The amends discussed were withdrawn but there appears to be appetite from the HoL to make amends re #mentalhealth and #parityofesteem at a later stage.
