I surveyed part of a farm yesterday with my @ageagleUAVS @korecmapping eBee X. 4 flights. I surveyed the same in 2022 with quads and it took 7 flights. Yesterday 2.5 hours on site, last year over 5 hours. Outputs better as well. Client very happy.

Undertook a photogrammetry survey first thing before it got (a) hot and (b) windy. Data outputs wil be used for volumes and cut&fill analysis. Orthomosaics will be combined with CAD data including infrastructure and plot layouts. #DTC #drones

Quite a different day. I have been commissioned by a client to provide monthly construction updates on 14 sites. Much of my other work is urban extensions. All these sites are in town centres across the West Midlands. Mavic Mini type sites. Different challenges but fun.

I have had a call from the Country Land & Business Assn and they wanted to set up a call with the Membership Team (used to be a member) sometime next week. I said just call when he/she is free. They said “we can’t do that”. Unbelievable. Why make simple tasks complicated?

Large shows such as Lincolnshire Show where I am today need to increase mobile phone capacity. It’s flakey and a couple of places I couldn’t buy anything as card machines not working.

Always striking is difference btw Rail News East Midlands Railway (EMR) and trains in EU. Porto to Lisbon fast train 3hrs, £38, clean, modern carriages, AC, fast wi-fi. I live in Mids and EMR is poor by comparison. No very poor.

Well it’s easy to tell we are back in the UK East Midlands Railway (EMR) crowded trains, no wi-fi (+ poor phone coverage), can’t buy our overpriced or correct tickets at ticket machines. Have to get someone to get us through barriers to get to ticket office

I am just come across Johnstone's Trade 2023 Global Color & Design Trends. I am not a graphics designer but this publication is excellent. Must have taken a lot of effort to produce it. Tomorrow I will be buying some Vining Ivy. It matches another sample I got last week.

Filming a nature reserve today

Most of my stock/volume surveys are for soils or aggregates. This one is for a metals recycling yard which I have surveyed with a drone a number of times. Drones on this one certainly remove the risks, climbing up heaped shredded metal isn’t wise. KOREC Group

I am close to getting to the stage of ditching all my Sonos set up. When it works it’s great but every day I have problems. Rooms keep disappearing or I can play music and then can’t switch it off “Sonos can’t connect to your product”. Very frustrating.

Just starting the 6th survey undertaken today with a DJI M3MRTK. I think my productivity has increased by 50% with this drone compared with the Phantom 4 Pro. Partly down to the speed of the drone & the RTK. Thanks to Drone Pilot Academy who did keep recommending it!!

Just been to Drone X and besides chatting to a few people what a disappointment. Not a patch on GeoBusiness. Left early. Quite a few empty stands, show seemed smaller. Lots of large drones very little of relevance to what I and probably most UK drones operators do.

Just completed a drone survey with an @AgEagleUAVS eBee X. Flight time 30m and the battery (Standard) was still on 47% when it landed. Ideal conditions, not too windy. KOREC Group
