Principals tell us they want to make a fair pay offer, then demand Lecturers accept one of the worst pay awards in the Scottish Public Sector. Does the cost of living crisis and inflation not impact Lecturers?

This guy has a great account for all things employment law. Worth a follow if you're on TikTok. Ask your union for help requesting flexible working. If you're not in a union, why not?

Two letters arrived. A letter from the union and the ballot. Guess which one the dog ate? 🫣🫣 . . Not the ballot 👌It survived. To keep it safe, I posted it. Keep your ballot safe too and post it today. #postittoday #fairpayposttoday

You voted yet? No. Well if you're trying to decide yes or no, it's worth noting that there is another energy bill increase in January. Ofgem has increased the 'cap' because making billions in profit isn't enough. Vote for a FAIR payrise. Yes!

The big question at Argyll College @GraemeDeyMSP is, will the non incorporated colleges adhere to this? You have to question why they wouldn't...

College lecturers should have had a pay uplift in September 2022. College Employers Scotland's ‘full and final’ offer is below public sector pay minimum in its last two years. Lecturers deserve better than being short-changed. Vote YES to ASOS and Strike Action! #FightingForFE

College Employers Scotland Lectures at the top of the pay scale are currently paid much less than school teachers in Scotland - for the first time since I changed sectors. This proposed pay rise is highly inequitable on that basis.

No compulsory redundancies and a *reinstatement* of those made CR with BACKDATED WAGES is not something workers win everyday. Huge respect and solidarity to the inspiring workers of EIS Glasgow EISFela as well as to Sarah Collins 🇵🇸 and colleagues for all their hard work.

📉This academic year universities received 19% less funding in real terms than a decade ago. Now the Scottish Government is planning even more drastic & devastating cash cuts in their budget. Join us on 21 February at 1pm to Rally for our Education!: l8r.it/ApnA
