A5:Giving up to quickly can indicate frustration. Break the task down. Together identify next steps, then have student explain what they will do next. #atassess

A5:Ask students how what they feel they should do next. Provide support. Suggest a buddy partner. Keep the student talking about the task and the solution. Don’t dwell on giving up, concentrate on progress. #atassess
