So as long as they don't knock him out completely, he'll take anything.

Is this the advice of a medical professional? He would like to know what exactly it is he's taking though, just in case it reacts with any of his other meds.

He takes a combination of heavy sleeping pills and dilaudid. Ibuprofen should be fine. Hopefully.

A heavy dose of trauma and PTSD makes it incredibly difficult for him to sleep, hence the sleeping pills. And after being kidnapped and forcibly drugged, he became addicted to dilaudid. He does his best to balance the chemicals he puts into his body.

A hug is always welcome, though he'd appreciate a warning beforehand — people grabbing him unexpectedly keeps him very much edge. If she ever wants a sympathetic ear then he'll provide one, going through a kidnapping is no easy ordeal.

He's grateful for her consideration. He actually didn't get himself out of it, his co-workers saved him with a little help from the kidnapper himself. It's complicated. Still. The offer is always there if need be.

He'll uh, he'll pass on that for now. He's on enough drugs to make him a little jumpy at even anticipated touches. She shouldn't downplay herself, escaping a kidnapping or even just enduring one is no easy feat. She should be proud.
