Tigers shoot their lowest round of the year today at Hickory Point. Tigers also got career low rounds from Quinn Berning (72) and Brian Cooper (74). Thank you very much Normal Comm. Normal west and Pekin for allowing us to tag along.

Tigers finish 3rd in a field of 31 teams at the Mattoon Invitational. They were led by Mason Lewis’ 6th place overall finish (145). Freshman Brian Cooper set a new high school low round with a 73 at Mattoon CC. Thank you Mattoon for a well ran and fun event.

Tigers finish in third place at the Panther Classic in O Fallon with a team score of 300. The Tigers were led with a -3 (68) from medalist Mason Lewis and also had a career low round (79) from Jon Wiedman. Thank you Edley’s for the post round meal.

Congratulations to the JV Tigers for finishing first at the Yorktown Invitational today in Belleville. They were led by freshman Michael Shaw’s second place overall finish 59 (+5) and had 4 Tigers finish in the top 6!

Congratulations to Mason Lewis for his second ever hole in one today on the par 3 10th hole at Parkview golf course. He led the Tigers with a first round 72 today (+2). The Tigers find themselves in 7th place heading into the second and final round tomorrow at Lick creek.

Congratulations to the JV and Frosh/Soph Tigers for their 2nd and 4th place finishes in the 19 team Futures Tournament hosted at Tamarack by O’Fallon. John Wilkins finished 3rd overall with a 78, and Michael Shaw was the low freshman and finished 8th overall with an 82.

The JV Tigers finish first in the 17 team Bob Allen Invitational hosted by Lockport. The tigers had top 5 finishes by 2nd overall Adam Lugge (73), 4th overall Joel Fields (78), and 5th overall Sam Shaw (79). Congratulations Boys.

Tigers finish the regular season with their third lowest round of the year finishing 2nd and 13th in the 18 team Althoff invitational. They were led by Mason Lewis and Brian Cooper’s top 10 finish along w Quinn Berning finishing top 15. Thank you Althoff and SCCC for hosting.

Tigers shoot one of the lowest rounds relative to par in school history (+1) to survive and advance to the Hickory Point sectional. Mason lewis leads the way with one of the lowest postseason rounds in school history 66 (-6). Owen Berning shoots his lowest career round 71 (-1).

After doing a little research I feel comfortable in saying that yesterday’s 289 (+1) is the lowest postseason round relative to par in school history. Also, Mason Lewis’ 66 (-6) is the lowest postseason individual round in school history. Congratulations boys.

An amazing high school career comes to an end on day 2 of the state finals today. Mason Lewis finishes T-19 at the Den with a two day total of 150 (+6). We can’t wait to see you representing Edwardsville Golf at the next level. Congratulations Lewis Family.

Mason Lewis birdies the last hole to finish T-4 at the Illinois State Junior am. This, along with a solo 2nd last year, caps off one of the best careers from an Edwardsville golfer at the states toughest junior tournament. Congratulations Mason.
