Many skilled people hold off on sharing details of their process for two reasons: fear of losing value if their ideas become common knowledge, and fear of mistakes in their process being publicly exposed. Neither of these turn out to be real threats.

The people who learn from you dont forget where they learned it from. Favors get remembered forever. And the people who nitpick you just wish they were the ones getting the validation you end up receiving from spreading the wealth of knowledge.
