As a part of Black History Month, Egret Lake invited guest readers to our Kindergarten, First, and Second grade classes on two separate occassions. Thank you to everyone who took time from their busy schedules to read to our students. Here are our Day 1 readers.
On Thursday, Egret hosted a Black History Night for parents. Thank you to Bak Middle School of the Arts and Faith's Place for providing great performances. We must also recognize our Egret chorus and Magical Mallets for an exceptional performance as well.
Our Black History Night Celebration not only included performances. There was an opportunity for families to visit the media center and view class research projects. There was also an interactive drum circle and arts and crafts.
Congratulations to the students chosen this year for the Winner's Scholarship on Wednesday, March 1st. Thank you to Ms. Hermine Drezner and the Education Foundation for this wonderful opportunity. Parents, peers, teachers, and special guests were present to cheer them on.
Here are our wonderful guest speakers/presenters for Career Day. Egret wants to give a special shout out to Ms. Nancy Mensch who collaborated with Erica Henn of Junior Achievement to make this event happen.

We are celebrating the performance of Willy Wonka Kids. Thank you, Ms. Stacy Caceres for another wonderful performance.
Our final evening performance is tonight. Parents are $5, but kids get in free.
Thank you to Bear Lakes Middle School for meeting with our 5th graders. Students were given the opportunity to select classes for middle school. They also learned about courses that are offered.
