It’s the final day of our mini tour around Shropshire care homes for Live Music Now. Rachel Fright and I have had a wonderful time with so many beautiful responses from the residents we’ve met. This work is so important and so rewarding. Thanks to LMN and the Wynn Foundation!
It may still be November, but Edward Robinson and I met up today to record a Christmas concert. Live Music Now will send it on to a children’s hospital nearer the date!
Yesterday Rachel Fright and I had our biggest Live Music Now Zoom gig to date, streaming to 73 classrooms across Devon, Dorset, Somerset and Hampshire! The concert included Disney, Mozart, MT, plenty of Christmas songs and some really excellent questions from the students!
Returning to Royal Northern College of Music to sing the bass solos for SalfordChoralSociety’s concert of Handel’s Messiah at 3pm today with Baroque In The North. Really looking forward to this one!

Helping to lead jungle themed, educational workshop performances for &Piano Music Festival in Huddersfield, introducing an animal inspired, classical concert for toddlers to KS2. We had music by Finzi, Venables, Ireland and a few Edward Lear pieces too! (3/7)
I’ve also continued to run weekly primary singing workshops for Grange Park Opera's scheme Primary Robins and helped develop after school choirs at my schools. We have some exciting developments coming for the scheme in September that I will be able to share soon hopefully! (5/7)
This week I’m back with the wonderful @LeedsLieder, introducing Art Song to secondary students from Leeds schools with Rachel Fright and michellescallyclarke. It's a really lovely project and a pleasure to return! Bring on the performances next month!! (6/7)

Our 2023 Schools Recital Tour is off! Only two days in and we’ve already performed to about 500 fantastic students around #Kirklees & #Calderdale, who’ve all been listening and reacting brilliantly to the music that Edward Robinson, Gillian Blair & @kurisup are performing!
One thing I love about our Live Music Now concerts is the diversity of repertoire. Yesterday’s The Bridgewater Hall workshop had an eclectic mix including Ian Venables, Richard Rodney Bennett, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Edward Lear, The Beatles and Randy Newman! Rachel Fright
