The appointment of Saudi Arabia to lead the UN commission on gender equality and women’s empowerment isn’t just a slap in the face of the long struggle against women’s rights

I can't help but feel that there's been a trend in recent months.

Sports fans are fed up.

They are fed up with the pure greed shown by their sport's elite and wealthy.

They are fed up with being told what apparently is best for them, when in reality they are being disregarded.

The tweet I made yesterday about the NUFC/Formula E ad- Sorry, the PIF ad- seemed to hit a nerve. Good. Because the reaction shows these people up for what they really are: Cheerleaders for human rights abuses. People with no shame who bully and abuse anyone that questions them.

All these people who make excuses for Saudi human rights abuses because PIF bought their favourite football team always stoop to personal insults, because at the end of the day they've got no actual defence, just ad hominem attacks. Thank goodness for NUFC Fans Against Sportswashing.
