So according to Rutlish School, they’ve been told by Merton Police that if an e-bike has pedals, it’s legal. No mention of 250w motor or restricted to 15.5mph. These kids 11-16 yrs are flying up the road at higher speeds, no helmets, uninsured and no road sense. #wimbledon

Today, 1944, greatest amphibious invasion in history. On D-Day alone 2,200 bombers, 5,000 landing & assault craft, 289 escort vessels, 277 minesweepers & 160,000 troops crossed the Channel & attacked. It was a major turning point in WW2 which led to defeat of the German Reich.

It’s 81 years since thousands of British and allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy in an audacious operation to liberate Western Europe. We will honour and remember those who risked their lives for peace with events in Normandy today. 📷: CWGC Bayeux War Cemetery

Today, on the 81st anniversary of D Day when 4,427 men lost their lives in the pursuit of freedom, we should ask ourselves if their lives were sacrificed in vain? Britain is a country that is invaded daily by some that would do us harm. To which our politicians turn a blind eye.
