Wonderful music and colours at the Usher Hall

New fountain pen sketch from a visit to Edinburgh International Book Festival (which I am loving in its new home at the Edinburgh Futures Institute). It was a showery day so a soluble ink pen seemed appropriate. The second one is the initial pen drawing, taken in case I messed it up🙂What do you think?

Messing around with watercolours this afternoon with the kids. Too much for the paper and it started to come apart. I quite like it though, it looked like a felting picture by the end :)

A watercolour money plant, having a go at layering greens on greens to pick out the depth and layers. I’m putting together a new winter workshop looking at indoor sketching still life, and with plants being one of my favourite go to subjects I thought they would be perfect.
