A good win today on a surface that affected the flow of the game in large spells. A frustrating 1st half where we were the team in ascendancy but failed to create much but go in 1-0 to the good. 2nd period we got more of a grip on the game and went on to put the game to bed 🔴⚫️

Next up we have the reverse fixture from a couple of weeks ago against Neilston AFC where we were less than impressive. Looking to raise our performance levels considerably if we are to get a result here against a team in red hot form 🔴⚫️ ⚽️ Eddlewood 🆚️ NeilstonAFC ⚽️

Unlucky to lose out today after taking a first half lead and then adding pressure at the end to try and earn a point. Good battle against a good physical side and one we can take positives from 🔴⚫️

This weekend we turn our attention back to the Challenge Cup. A big challenge awaits as we go head to head with Calderglen AFC who currently sit top of the pile of the Greater Glasgow pyramid with a Quarter Final place up for grabs for the winner 🔴⚫️ CalderglenAFC

Result from the weekend A 90 minutes where we were on top for the majority. Took a 1-0 lead early in the 2nd and were unlucky to concede 10 minutes from time taking the game into a penalty shootout which we came through to reach the Quarter Finals 🏆🔴⚫️

Back to league duties this coming weekend as we make the long trip again up to Lochgilphead in good spirits after knocking Division 1 side Calderglen out the Challenge Cup 🔴⚫️ ⚽️ Eddlewood 🆚️ Lochgilphead ⚽️

A long bus journey and miserable conditions throughout the 90 minutes made worth it as we head home with the 3 points. Lochgilphead took the lead after 15 minutes but we score 2 before the break to turn the game on it's head and run out 2-1 winners 🔴⚫️

A week off from football to recharge and prepare us for the last push of the season to give us the best chance of ending the campaign on a high. Tough game this weekend against Campsie AFC but one we go into in decent form 🔴⚫️ ⚽️ Campsie 🆚️ Eddlewood ⚽️

Dissapointing afternoon in a game we just never turned up in and lose out on the chsnce to gain promotion with 2 games remaining of the league campaign. Let Campsie dictate the majority of the game allowing them to get into dangerous areas too easily and we pay the price 🔴⚫️

This Saturday brings us our first game in the Greater Glasgow Spring Cup 🏆 We have been drawn in a group with Calderglen AFC, Westerlands AFC, East Kilbride Dynamo AFC, Neilston AFC & Muirend AFC. We kick off with a home tie against Division 1 side Westerlands AFC 🔴⚫️

Started well as we went 2 up inside 10 mins. Westerlands keep themselves in the game grabbing a goal before the break to go in 2-1. We then seen a level game at 2-2 with 10 mins to go before the final whistle but we show character to regain the lead and see the game out 🔴⚫️

Up next and as early as tomorrow night we continue with the Spring Cup Group Stage against Muirend AFC. Both sides with a positive result in the first game of the group getting 3pts on the board and we look to follow up from Saturday with another win 🔴⚫️

We go 2 for 2 in the Spring Cup Group Stage with another solid home performance. Up 2-0 just after 10 but clawed back to 2-2 before taking the lead again just before the break. Rallied on in the 2nd half to add a couple more keeping it tight at the back to secure the 3pts 🔴⚫️

We now gear up for what will be our 3rd game over 7 days and our last home league fixture on Saturday against @ekthistleams Lost here against our opponents earlier in the season but got our own back running out 4-2 winners at East Kilbride in February 🔴⚫️

3 games, 7 days and 9 points for the lads. Went 1-0 up on 5 mins and added another on the stroke of half time. EK convert a penalty 10 mins from time but we hit back straight away to restore our 2 goal lead. A goal at both ends late on sees us come away 4-2 winners 🔴⚫️

Big one Tuesday night — final Spring Cup group game away to Neilston. No wins in 3 vs them this season (2L, 1D), but we’re heading there ready for a battle. A win puts us in a great spot for the Semi-Final! 🔴⚫️

A massive performance sees us stay top of the group! Goals from Christopher Burns (x2) and Keane Campbell seal the win. Relentless from start to finish—now we wait to see if it’s enough for the semis. Come on the Wood! 🔴⚫️

A Quarter-Final awaits tomorrow night as we face Division 1 side Kirkfield AFC in the Bobby Thomson Challenge Cup. Our opponents are in search of reaching their 3rd Cup Final this season so we know we are in for a tough challenge as we aim to make it into the last 4 🔴⚫️

Heartbreak in the Challenge Cup QF Down to 9 men, we battled back to 2-2 with a last-gasp penalty from Colin Galbraith, but fall short 5-4 in the shootout vs Kirkfield. Proud of the fight, proud of the season. We go again in August. ⚫🔴
