This is as ever very good from Matthew Syed. And on thinking ‘how’ to be courteous it reminds me of a CS Lewis passage. It is faith based but widely applicable and leaves us with no option other than to be not just courteous, but in awe of each other.

Brilliant news. A 55% taper rate was where The Centre for Social Justice pitched its tent when UC was just a theory in 2009. This is a big boost for low earners at a really important moment.





Seeing Miriam Cates get lots of stick for this but neither conservative nor Labour plans for childcare seem to acknowledge infant attachment and the potential long term impact of these policies on future workforce. Would love to see this risk assessment…?
