I hate Twitter...
But scientists and journalists like it.
And removing these new annoying pop-ups on every single tweet from them got to be too much...

Another dumb policy that's good politically but is only a temporary handout that won't address the complaint long-term If the problem is "no stability" for the fixed-incomed facing rapid property value appreciation, tax the 10 or 5-yr rolling average of its value Done Stabilized

Estimated Craigslist revenues and use since 2017 has neither been increasing or stable. I do not doubt they can keep the company profitable (but unchanging) if they don't fall under $200m/yr in revenue. They've been dying since FB Marketplace began & FOSTA-SESTA was passed.

Given all the recent Harvard grade inflation hoopla, I forgot France's notoriously difficult grading system. It's a problem, actually, as 38% of students repeat a grade & their methods are 19th century 16/20 is the 95th percentile 12/20 = 70th (~3.3GPA) 9/10 = 2.9/B- = redo/fail

I can imagine some responses outside of classical utilitarianism to the mere addition paradox. Kantian/Rule: Is it best all living species make such a trade? Ideal & Objective List: Will they maximize diversity? Preference: Will they generate utility everyone most prefers?

The curious thing about this chart is how much people's assumptions cluster between 20% and 33% no matter how rare or prevalent the true number is. Some psychological thing going on with numbers. Someone needs to do the same study but also get confidence levels in their guesses.

The amount of oil California gets from any state outside of Alaska is a rounding error. Refined products (⛽ etc) are usually too expensive to import from the Bahamas (by way of Texas), and they're only 5% of imports on the best/worst day. archive.ph/xUq5n

A very bottom tier feeling for all the current builders and their lenders! With luxury at 15% vacancy, OHT, DPR, & Flintco may be crapping their pants for when they finish The Waterline, Travis, & Perennial. Paseo and 44 East are doing huge discounts already...sucks to be them.

28 inches in 24 hours may make it the 9th biggest snow day... in the last 15 years. More than 2 inches of snowfall in an hour may only happen 15% of the time I suppose.

Please don't tell me we've remade Wuthering Heights for theaters for the 10th damn time and 23rd if including TV movies? 23 adaptations that tell mostly the same version! Seth Grahame-Smith can you at least add a mummy or Frankenstein's monster into it? PLEASE! This is getting ridiculous!
