Too many pupils with SEN in schools?
Take assessment of SEN away from teachers & SENCos.

Too many exclusions from schools?
Take the decion to exclude away from headteachers.

What a loss. Afzal's understanding and enabling of teacher as researcher put teachers as knowledge creators, not mere imparters. LAMP & RAMP were periods of teacher empowerment. And, with a huge consequential impact on pupils becoming mathematicians.
