In some US states, teens can access mental health care even w/o parent support (good!) In the same states, many IRBs ban teens from taking part in research on MH care w/o parent consent So we can offer care to (some) teens who lack parent support—but we can't test if it works.

Late post, but I am thankful to UI Health Care Stead Family Children's Hospital for their treatment of our family when my son was hospitalized over the holidays and subsequent outpatient treatment.
