Arthur Shand began building a home in Eau Claire Community Association without a bldg permit.
But the city had plans for a road thru his lot.
So to get the permit in 1911, Arthur built his house with a corner lopped off.
He called it Curiosity Corner.
The condos there now were once called that too.

The area around City Hall – the heart of where decisions about #yyc happen – sometimes doesn’t feel safe or vibrant.
