This is what City of Calgary Planning insiders and lobbyists Civic Works and rndsqr_ call the “micro suite.” It’s great for seniors instead of aging in place.

My community already broadly allows rowhouses. They sit alongside singles, semis, and even mid-century walk-up apartments without issue. It means more people can call this place “home”, support local businesses, and keep our schools open. It’s more than fine. It’s rad!

Admin acting as gatekeepers is nonsense. Not only do we need to show up on April 22, but we need to (again), ask council to support the Housing Strategy and restore fourplexes & townhouses to PERMITTED uses under RCG. City of Calgary Planning Sean Fraser Scott Aitchison More Neighbours Calgary

Alex McColl Dr. Paul Theriault BSc, ND, VNMI, CBC Calgary Parking Calgary Stampede ENMAX Upzoning conveniently cost the City nothing (allowing them to spend $600M on new Flames Arena & $5M on city slogans). Consider that may be the reason YYCCC & City of Calgary Planning favour this policy.

Christopher Doyle Seriously though, I take offense to your snide comment. I am a signatory to that letter and would love to work with City of Calgary Planning and development partners bring non-market affordable housing to HH-BH CA. Yet the former doesn't seem interested and the latter doesn't seem to exist.

LiveWireCalgary 'OK to change'? Change is inevitable. The real question is whether Calgarians want their city to change in this way as 'directed' by this City of Calgary Planning policy? After all it should be the collective will of citizens that decides the destiny of their city, right?

Darren Garlough Susan Quinn 🇨🇦 LiveWireCalgary City of Calgary Planning There are always different ways of looking every situation! I'm more inclined to put Susan's comment in the context of the group of people being City of Calgary Planning & forming a consensus as to what is 'appropriate' planning & then autocratically imposing it upon all Calgarians!

David Christopher Doyle City of Calgary Planning HH-BH CA Our CA only endeavours to share the collective perspective of our residents. Something that the City of Calgary would do well to better heed is that Calgarians *ARE* the best local experts on what is happening on their streets and in their neighbourhoods!
