I wonder what an “efficient” federal government looks like in terms of % of GDP. Are they any examples of efficient governments that would make good benchmarks? What does success look like? #doge #costcutting

I prefer to see the recent tussles between Canada and the USA the same way I see arguments with my wife. We both know we not getting divorced over this. Secretly she knows I’m right.

From what I can tell Scott Bessent is a smart guy. Unfortunately he presents as detached and out of touch. He won’t be able to sell average Americans anything.

What if Elon Musk is doing all this just to get conservatives in red states to go EV? For this to be true: 1. He would have to calculate that other US car companies can’t catch Tesla so liberals will have to buy his cars anyway if they want the best value. 2. He would need to

imo, Elon Musk is creating more good will in 🇺🇸 than he is ruining. Below, % of Republicans of who would consider buying a Tesla is surging. The protests, vandalism and violence against Tesla will only cause this number to surge higher. Also possible many flipped to Republican.

One of the worst features to ever go into a CRM is email logging. It incentivizes sales reps to send a lot of emails and makes everyone think deals are progressing. I think a CRM should only log emails received from customers.

The most important factor for AI Agents is to get them the context necessary to execute the task successfully. No matter how powerful AI models get, context will always be king. Data, workflows, tools, domain knowledge, and tuned instructions will all be critical.

AI is moving super fast. On a given day one tool is better, and the next day another one is. For this reason, many companies are paying for monthly rather than annual subscriptions to AI tools and LLMs. My companies do the same. I haven't seen detailed numbers, but customer

One often unmentioned tidbit about the Figma IPO is that they famously did not go to market for four years after starting to build their product. That's a lot of investment without any revenue. Collaboration software has the highest bar of any software because people invite

An enormous amount of money and management time is spent on managing sales teams. $55 Billion a year in the U.S. or thereabouts. How much of it is well-spent? The answer depends on who you are. If you are a part of the "Sales Industrial Complex," you have made your living

I’ve talked with dozens of CEOs, CROs, and CFOs. They universally agree that they spend way too much money trying to lift the B and C players in their sales force. AI is going to make it so they don’t have to. Big changes on the way.

Voice agents are such a no brainer for any business with long qualification or screening calls. AI can do these cheaper than humans - with higher completion rates and even higher NPS! This applies to a surprisingly huge # of markets, from Medicare to lending to matchmaking.
