Knarly rotten and split Monterey Pine at 36m. It started leaning badly in the winds last week so was felled today.

Felling a 120 foot Monterey Pine at Sidbury Manor. The tree developed three splits in the stem and starting leaning heavily in the wind last week so it was felled to prevent it falling into neighbouring trees and the driveway

This was our best attempt at saving this lovely old cedar. One half of the tree had completely failed last week and was hanging in a cobra brace. We spent a few days cabling and pruning it and hopefully it’s stable now. 🤞🤞🤞 facebook.com/eastdevontreec…
