On Monday, many of our band students assisted with the ESE and Smithfield Elementary Band Showcase at HS-South. It was great to see people connecting with the future of the band program!

Mini-Thon Assemblies on Friday The Marching Band is excited to support the South Mini-Thon this year and will be playing at the info assemblies on our last school day in November! For The Kids!

Mini-Thon Kick-Off Assemblies included the marching band playing as the audience entered and left the gym. It was great to play those stands tunes again together. (And we look really good in those shirts!!!)

Congratulations to the entire cast and crew of the South HS fall play, I Hate Shakespeare. The show was fantastic. Especially proud of our band students involved, Julia, Wesley, Alexandria, Riley, and Camila. 🎭🎶❤️

Excited for Eastburg Alums, Talha (‘23) and Kareem (‘24) They are performing with the Temple Marching Band at today’s Macy’s Parade. (Pictured getting ready for their 3:20AM rehearsal!!!) Tentative timeline for the Temple Band is between 9:40-10:10. behind Spider-Man.

The Eastburg Band kicked off December and the holiday season with a performance at the Dansbury Tree Lighting! They mixed festive favorites with fun tunes to create a whole lot of joy. 🎄🎶

Cookies, Carols, & Cocoa Friday, December 19 7pm HS South Cafeteria Come join the fun!!! Small Ensemble performances. Bring cookies to share if you can. We will provide the Hot Chocolate (if you want to join in playing Let There Be Peace and Sleigh Ride, bring your horn!)

The Jazz Band performed our Holiday music set before Tuesday’s Choir Concert. It was fun to entertain the crowd with a variety of Christmas, winter, and Hanukkah tunes. We hope everyone is enjoying their December concert season!

Winter Concert Time Monday, January 12 at 7pm Music includes two pieces by this year’s South Department Concert Composer (JaRod Hall), Stay by Randall Standridge, and Sleigh Ride. We will be collecting money for Safe Monroe, a local resource center.

The 2026 Tri-County Band included these talented South band members. They had a great day of rehearsing on Tuesday at Western Wayne HS, concluding with a concert that evening.
