A photographic exploration and celebration of rainforests from Beara to north Antrim, it'll take the reader to other, exquisite, dimensions. 🌍

These images are telling us something that most of us realise but is actually incredibly hard to put into actual words. Nature isn't going to pull through with tiny little human-celebrated concessions like this, that's for sure. The only words I can muster are deeply, and sad.

Plantations are not forests (they’re mostly monoculture timber crops).
Nestboxes are not tree cavities (they’re poorly-insulated, low-humidity deadwood that favours parasites & predators).
Timber production is necessary, but plantation crops are no substitute for native forests.
