There is no one to blame for this but the govt. I have watched as Creative Scotland heads and staff have repeatedly, for the last three years, practically begged for proper funding. This will be devastating for artists in this country and the government simply do not care.

This is absolutely unacceptable and MUST be reversed. More cuts to funding for artists in Scotland will exacerbate already huge inequalities in the sector. This is terrible beyond words...

None of the work I did with Alycia Pirmohamed on Re•creation could have happened without this funding. That project helped me get my job, transformed my practice, and gave me crucial connections. Cutting this lifeline is going to kill off a huge part of Scottish arts.
