Today marks my final day at Bellmere Winds Resort. I am thankful for the opportunity to learn and grow as a young Superintendent here over the past few years. Looking forward to starting my next chapter as GCS at Black Bear Ridge in January!

Quite the storm, wow. About 3/4” of ice accretion as of 9am, near Hastings/Norwood. Branches and trees continue snapping under the weight. Not much left of our elm trees at home #ONStorm

We’re rolling! Seasonal team started today, lots of cleanup on the go. Great to have the crew back. Opening day is getting closer!

New Sidewinder has passed inspection by our shop cat, Pumpkin. Seat comfort 10/10

Productive end to a busy week getting the course ready to open next Wednesday. Crew is knocking bunker prep and cleanup out of the park! First cut on greens and tees, irrigation system primed, almost ready to go!

Unfortunate weather for Golf Canada Next Gen practice round today. Over 50mm of rain throughout the day. Property is saturated, lots of standing water. Hoping things dry up for tomorrow to get the place set up and ready to play Round 1!

Lovely morning at the Bear. Nice to finally see the sun after receiving 70mm of rain since last Wednesday

Time to let the greens breathe after a very wet start to the season, followed by a roll and dusting of sand 👌🏻 summer heat is on its way!

Forecast said 100% 25-35mm, only 5mm in the rain gauge this morning. Glad I turned off rain hold last night. Keep pounding water. Next heat wave on the way!

25mm overnight… 20°C high today. Irrigation is on rain hold for the first time in months. Nice to finally catch our breath… Fall is on its way!
