As a very junior doctor had to take blood from a HIV+ person. Was cautioned multiple times by multiple docs/nurses to ‘be careful’. Really opened my eyes to the HIV stigma still happening in healthcare. If I’m taking blood properly and safely the risk of transmission is zero…
