Kenya plans to ban electronics over 12 years old to curb the growing e-waste crisis ♻️⚠️ Outdated imports = toxic waste + health risks. This move could reshape Africa’s second-hand tech market, balancing access with sustainability. #Ewaste #Kenya #CircularEconomy #GreenAfrica

South Africa is pushing a circular economy for e-waste — solar panels, batteries & electronics 🔋☀️ Done right, e-waste = jobs, raw materials & lower carbon footprint. #CircularEconomy #GreenJobs #EwasteAfrica

Women make up ~30% of informal e-waste collectors in Africa and yet most are locked out of higher-value, safer recycling jobs. This isn’t just a social issue. It’s an untapped ESG + impact investment opportunity in the circular economy. Who’s funding inclusive e-waste

It's a hard lesson. Subsidy backed bio-ethanol with heavy reliance on carbon credit made the model fragile, can't compete without external support. Clean energy wins when it's affordable, local and not subsidy dependent.

Nigeria’s energy equation is changing fast and solar is no longer the alternative. It’s becoming the new baseline. In 2025, Nigeria surged to become Africa’s second-largest solar market, adding 803MW in new capacity and accounting for 17% of the continent’s new installations.
