Busy day for the Glassman Lab at the first day of #ESA2024! Come see Arik Joukhajian's talk on desert microbes in COS 002 (Rm 102C) at 2:45pm and see Fabi Pulido-Chavez's talk in COS 008 (Rm 202A) on post-fire microbial resilience at 1:45pm! Amazing #science about awesome #microbes!
Make sure to end your first day at #ESA2024 by coming to the Fire and Fire Management Poster Session 14 to see Esbeiry Cordova-Ortiz and Ryan Quaal give their posters on Fire and soil microbes. Stop by posters 150 and 156 and chat with them! #Science #microbes
Come say hi to Glassman lab at #ESA2024 Arik Joukhajian Ryan Quaal Dylan Enright Esbeiry Cordova-Ortiz Basubi Fabi Pulido-Chavez #fungi #bacteria #ecology #science
Good morning #ESA2024! A great way to end the last day of the conference is to come talk #fire, #fungi, and the traits that help fungi adapt to wildfire! Come to COS 204 (Rm 202B) today at 4:30pm and we'll chat about the work I've been doing in Dr Sydney Glassman's lab! #Science
Now that #ESA2024 is over it's time to board the flight to #IMC12! If you're coming to Maastricht come find me and Arik Joukhajian to talk about the #fire and #fungi research we've been doing in Dr Sydney Glassman's lab at UC Riverside CNAS. Netherlands here we come!
Great kickoff for #IMC12! So much cool #science here! If you want to talk #fire and #fungal traits come to my talk tomorrow (Monday) in the Soil Fungal Traits symposium (Rm Brussels 4) at 12:50am and learn about the fiery fungal work we've been doing in Dr Sydney Glassman's lab!
What an amazing session on (soil) fungal traits and behaviour we had this morning Kristin Aleklett! It is such a cool, emerging topic with many open questions (and featuring many triangles...). #MC12 #fungi Big thanks to Tessa Camenzind, Carlos Aguilar-T 🏳️🌈 🇩🇪 🇸🇻 🇫🇮, Yu Fukasawa, FungusProf (1/3) ...
This session was full of so much amazing #science! I could have listened to the speakers talk all day. I am honored to have been able to share my research alongside such other successful mycologists at #IMC12. Thank you Emilia Hannula and Kristin Aleklett for organizing this session!
Absolutely fantastic talk by Aishwarya Veerabahu today on bringing attention to golden oyster mushrooms as a globally invasive species that only gets more prominent over time! Excellent #science and obviously excellent mentoring by Anne Pringle and Michelle Jusino! #IMC12 #fungi
Fascinating talks on Coccidioides by Dr. Bridget Barker, PhD and Jon Taylor at #IMC12. They did a fantastic job highlighting the spread of Cocci and redefining how we should think of the lifecycle of Cocci as an endozoan instead of a saprophyte. So much cool #science here in #Maastricht!
Thank you Emilia Hannula for organizing and hosting this dinner! The evening was full of great conversations and the sharing of exciting ideas. Definitely a highlight of my #IMC12 experience!
And that's the end of #IMC12! What an amazing conference put on by 12th International Mycological Congress (IMC12)! So great to connect with mycologists around the world, reconnecting with friends and colleagues, and making new connections! I look forward to seeing everyone in South Korea for IMC13!
