For this year's Durham Miner’s Gala, Thornley Primary School created a double sided banner to parade through Durham city on gala day! We now have the banner on display in Thornley Library. Why not come down and have a look?

It's not just the children that have been busy with their crafts! The Adult Craft Group at Coundon Library were busy making tissue-paper collages of landscapes and sea scenes! The group meets fortnightly on Mondays from 11:00am-12:30pm. The next meeting will be on 16th September.

Wingate Library made a final big push last week to finish their Summer Reading Challenge on a high note! The had lots of crafts to do, including musical instruments and masks! They even managed to get a few more of our young borrowers to finish the challenge! Well done everyone!
