Very good piece of work. A big leap in the right direction. Everything we say, how we listen and respond, everything that’s written on the walls*, the books and written materials, what we read to pupils, our attitude towards reading all count. *remember - model handwriting!!

This is really insightful. When considering reading difficulties, move away from deficit in child. Think deficit in teaching. Don’t blur the lines with pseudo-interventions. Do not give up. It is a moral imperative to teach literacy well.

VIB. Very Important Book. Should be required reading for every educator, parent,human being. Government should grant inservice days for all teachers to read, discuss and plan collective next steps. #anxiousgeneration
