New visualisation uploaded to the SystmOne Resource Library called “AWC Modality Patient Summary”. It's a great starter template for those getting to grips with the functionality.

Improving quality of later life sometimes means less medical intervention not more. This should be the patient's informed decision. Older people and their families need to have realistic conversations with their doctors including about levels of intervention they want. (5/5)

Thank you Peter Gibson, for speaking up about the patchwork nature of hospice funding and the challenges hospices face. Many are feeling the effects of funding that is not keeping pace with rising costs. They need support to continue delivering vital care to people who need it.

Thank you Amol Rajan for raising the question of funding for the UK’s hospice sector with the Health Secretary today. The data Hospice UK obtained from FOIs established that almost none of the £1.5bn of extra investment into ICBs mentioned by Victoria Atkins has gone to hospices

This a local situation that is repeated across the UK. Many hospices are balancing their books by cutting services. Can it really be the case that good death has to rely to the extent it does on charity and goodwill? We are not asking for funding for all our spend: just fairness

Hospices are facing a devastating financial crisis because of rising staff costs which are putting services at risk. Our Chief Executive, Toby Porter (NB on Blue Sky), said the last year had seen the “worst financial results for the hospice sector in around 20 years”. dailymail.co.uk/wires/pa/artic…

In the final month of life, people often end up at A&E. As this Nuffield Trust analysis shows, better community care could offer more appropriate support. Hospices can play a big role here. But some - like St Raphael's Hospice - are having to cut back these services. It needs to change.

Good grief! Keir Starmer called Rishi Sunak the prime minister THREE TIMES. He's rattled, unprepared and completely out of his depth. It's going to be a long five years. 🤦‍♂️ #PMQs

The government is planning a new modern service framework on #palliativecare but the final report has been delayed to the autumn and has no new money attached to it. Marie Curie says there needs to be 24/7 access to palliative care and advice Read: thetimes.com/article/7552a3…
