The BlueCore4-External (BC417) is a single chip radio and baseband IC for Bluetooth 2.4GHz systems.
It was produced by CSR (Cambridge Silicon Radio, now part of Qualcomm) in 2004 and shows like many other ICs that the era did not end in the 90s.
