Truck driver swerves & hits a person cycling. Apparently the cyclist is at fault for not wearing a helmet, something that isn't a legal requirement? How would a helmet protect said cyclist had they gone under the huge truck? This sets a dangerous precedent for future cases.

Gardaí on patrol today on Grafton St were called to help at a medical emergency. A passing doctor was on hand to administer first-aid. Meanwhile the responding Dublin Fire Brigade Ambulance was blocked by a van on Wicklow St. Gardaí had the van moved & issued a fine for the parking offence.
