My lab University of Oregon is looking to hire a postdoc. We do cell and developmental biology using zebrafish in an interdisciplinary and supportive department with beautiful surroundings. Lots of cool projects ready to go... join us. RTs appreciated! #postdocjobs #zebrafish #cilia

The Nelson Lab just launched CU Anschutz Medical Campus and is seeking a research assistant who can start in Jan 2022. We study the molecular, cellular, and circuit mechanisms underlying behavioral plasticity, and we’ve got some really exciting projects ready to go! Link to apply below.

Our #SpotlightZebrafish this week is on Dr. Anne Martin (@thehungrybrain), who is a #Postdoc w/ Adam C. Miller University of Oregon. Her project looks into the shared mechanisms of electrical and chemical synapse formation. For more, check out her recent preprint: biorxiv.org/content/10.110…. 1/2

Dr. Martin trained professionally as a graphic designer before graduate school and some of her work can be found on her website (eannemartin.com/artwork). Interested in graphic design for your work? View her eLife - the journal webinar for helpful tips: elifesciences.org/inside-elife/b…. 2/2

Our paper that examines the spatial-temporal expression of all 41 Zfish gap-junction genes, the connexins, is out in Genetics Society of America G3 journal. This scRNAseq dataset allows you to explore connexin expression in your favorite tissue through space & time. academic.oup.com/g3journal/arti…

The first preprint from our foray into the octopus visual system! 🐙🧠👁️ Led by Mea (josc) 🐙 , in collaboration with Adam C. Miller and Andrew Kern, we made a cell type map of the octopus optic lobe. 1/ biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Paper Alert! I am thrilled to share our paper in Cell on cell-type-specific reward computations in the habenula! Along with Sam Vesuna, YoungJu Jo, @sussillodavid, Krishna Shenoy, and @karldeisseroth. Paper: tinyurl.com/2apujxkh Check out the thread 👇 (1/n)

Just over a month left to apply for a Development J Cell Science Journal of Experimental Biology or DMM Journal Travelling Fellowship of up to £3,000 for graduate students and post-doctoral researchers wishing to make collaborative visits to other laboratories: biologists.com/travelling-fel…

Thinking of leaving Twitter? Us, too. That’s why we’ve set up a Slack group for the #zebrafish community with over 200 members so far (including 60+ PIs)! If you’d like to join, please send Zebrafish Rock! a DM 🙏 #RockOn
