Impressive work capturing self renewing Neuromesodermal Progenitors (#NMPs) in culture (both mouse and human) from Micha Drukker, the amazing Val Wilson and colleagues biorxiv.org/content/10.110… is a feat with important theoretical and practical implications. Also some surprises.

Officially habilitated at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich! 🎉 I taught in the Human Biology program there before moving to Leiden. Loved giving a lecture and catching up with colleagues and collaborators!

Fellow academics, what's your take on service costs for lab equipment? Our 3-year-old Sony SH800 sorter malfunctioned, and Sony quoted €4,000 for a 4-hour repair, plus parts and taxes. Is paying over €1,000 per hour reasonable?
